Holiday Open House...what a hoot!

I'm still recovering today from our fabulously fun Holiday Open House on Saturday.

It was so great to see so many friendly faces on a perfect fall day in Lincoln. And, we didn't have to compete with Husker football (of course, my husband Brian was none too happy with the Big Red on Saturday night).

As you know, we tried something new this year by closing our doors for an entire week. Yes, we burned the midnight oil unpacking new merchandise, creating exciting new displays, and all the while...worrying about who would come on Saturday!

We did have one snafu...our postcard that went out to our customer mailing list was missing one important detail: the date! Thank goodness for e-mail, The Neighborhood Extra and our own web site. Yes, we did everything we could to get the word out (thank you to those who called and let us know of our oversight).
